Memorial Day

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Memorial Day. I will be spending the day with four of my favorite Veterans, Bert - Marines, David - Navy, Douglas - Army, and Becky - Air Force. I will be missing those that have gone on but they will be with us in spirit. I am very proud of our Military Men and Women. Thank you for serving. Deb

yes, today is an important day! My dad served in the US Army Air Corp during wwII; my husband served 25yrs in the Army having served in both VietNam and Desert Storm. Living here in PNS, we have several friends who also served. Be sure to thank our military families for all their service and sacrifice.....when we travel to Maine (several times a year) we fly into Bangor. the Bangor airport is known for its service to our military both entering/
leaving the country for duty stations. Not a flights comes/goes w/out there being a greeting committee, refreshments, phone cards, personal care items, etc. available free of charge in addition to a local band to greet returning military personnel. Husband & i always make it a point to stop and talk with them - most of them do not look old enough to shave!! Last september, i was traveling by myself and stopped to talk with a group of young men who were waiting for their flight to middle east to depart. i shared with them that my husband served in VN and DS - all those young men saluted ME and thanked me for my husband's service......really put a huge lump in my throat.....Proud of all our past and present military - THANK YOU!!
